Connect your agent to Indian company filings

Entiva’s remote, read-only Model Context Protocol (MCP) server is how software reads Entiva: an agent you build, a research workflow or a server application. It reads the companies your account holds, and every answer can be traced to a filing.

MCP address

https://mcp.entiva.in/mcp

The MCP server is Entiva’s programmatic interface: any MCP client can list its tools and call them, and a server that runs unattended connects with OAuth client credentials. There is no separate REST API.

A new account comes with a credit that opens one company Entiva already holds, so you can try every tool before ordering.

17 read-only tools

Every tool except my_companies takes the company’s CIN or LLPIN. Each answer is JSON, with a link back to the company on Entiva.

  • my_companies

List the companies your account holds, with their CINs, newest first, 50 to a page.

    • offset (optional): How many companies to skip, to read the next page.
  • company_overview

Start here. What is held for the company, a year-by-year map that tells a year never filed from one not held, and its accounts where the filings state them: each figure with its period, standalone or consolidated, and the filing it came from. A figure the filings do not state is reported as unknown, not zero.

    • cin : The company's CIN or LLPIN.
  • company_register

The company's register record: class, capital, registered office, signatories with their DINs and appointment dates, and its charges, with the date the record was read.

    • cin : The company's CIN or LLPIN.
  • director_companies

The other companies one of this company's signatories is recorded on, with role and dates.

    • cin : The company's CIN or LLPIN.
    • din : A DIN from the company's signatory list.
  • list_filings

The filings held for the company. Filter by form, the year it was filed, the year it reports on, or the kind of document. A filing whose text could not be read is still listed, as a gap.

    • cin : The company's CIN or LLPIN.
    • form (optional): A form code, such as AOC-4 or MGT-7.
    • year (optional): The year the filing reached MCA.
    • covers_year (optional): The year the filing reports on, which can be years before it was filed.
    • category (optional): Words from the MCA document category.
    • kind (optional): Words for the kind of document, such as annual return or charge.
  • read_form_fields

eForm values exactly as MCA recorded them: dates, capital, auditors, financial figures, signatories and the terms of a charge. Up to 10 filings in one call, so a figure across several years is one request.

    • cin : The company's CIN or LLPIN.
    • filing_ids : Up to 10 filing IDs from list_filings.
    • names (optional): Words from the field names to keep.
  • search_filings

Find which filings mention a word or phrase, best match first, with short snippets and their line numbers. Also says which filings could not be searched, so no match is told apart from not looked at.

    • cin : The company's CIN or LLPIN.
    • queries : Up to 12 words or short phrases.
    • filing_id (optional): Search inside one filing only.
  • read_filing_passage

Read a passage of one filing, starting from a search result's line numbers.

    • cin : The company's CIN or LLPIN.
    • filing_id : A filing ID from search_filings or list_filings.
    • start_line : The first line to read.
    • line_count (optional): How many lines, up to 200.
  • read_filing

Read one filing's full text. A very long document is cut short, and the answer says so.

    • cin : The company's CIN or LLPIN.
    • filing_id : A filing ID from list_filings or search_filings.
  • inspect_filing_tables

Read the rows of a table in one filing, such as a schedule or a list of shareholders, with its column headers.

    • cin : The company's CIN or LLPIN.
    • filing_id : A filing ID from list_filings or search_filings.
    • queries : Labels or values to find in the rows.
    • table_index (optional): One table's number from an earlier answer.
  • coverage

How complete the readable set is: documents held, read and not read. Use it before stating that something is absent.

    • cin : The company's CIN or LLPIN.
  • search_companies

Find any Indian company or LLP in the MCA register, held or not. Search by name or CIN, or list every company matching filters, 25 to a page with the total: status, state, sector, NIC activity code, year of incorporation, company or LLP. Each row links to the company on Entiva.

    • query (optional): Words from the name, or a CIN or LLPIN.
    • status (optional): The register's status, such as Active or Strike Off.
    • state (optional): The registered state, such as Karnataka.
    • industry (optional): The register's broad sector, such as Manufacturing or Finance.

    • incorporated_from (optional): Earliest year of incorporation.
    • incorporated_to (optional): Latest year of incorporation.
    • kind (optional): company or llp.
    • offset (optional): How many matches to skip, for the next page.

    • cin : The company's CIN or LLPIN.
  • similar_companies

Companies similar to one company: researched peers for a company you hold, otherwise live companies with the same declared activity.

    • cin : The company's CIN or LLPIN.
  • search_directors

Find directors and designated partners in the MCA register by name or DIN.

    • query : A name, or an 8-digit DIN.
  • director_profile

Every company a person is recorded on, with role and appointment and cessation dates.

    • din : The person's DIN.
  • company_network

The people and companies around a company or a person: signatories, their other companies, and companies sharing a registered office or email domain.

    • kind : company or director.
    • key : The CIN, LLPIN or DIN.

Sign in through a browser, or connect a server

ChatGPT, Claude and other MCP clients that sign in through a browser connect with the address alone: the member signs in to Entiva and approves the connection. Clients that need dynamic client registration cannot connect.

Connect an application that runs on its own

A server application needs no browser sign-in while it runs.

  1. Create a server connection in Entiva settings.
  2. Save its client ID and one-time secret in your server’s secret store. Keep them out of browser and mobile code.
  3. Request an OAuth access token and pass it to your MCP client. The connection details are below.

Connection details

Token endpoint
https://mcp.entiva.in/token
Grant type
client_credentials
Client authentication
client_secret_basic
Resource and MCP address
https://mcp.entiva.in/mcp

Send the client ID and secret with HTTP Basic authentication, and grant_type and resource as form fields. Send the returned access token to the MCP address in an Authorization: Bearer header.

Access tokens expire. Request another with the same client credentials when needed; this flow does not issue refresh tokens.

The connection reads every company you can currently read, including companies added later. Removing your access to a company removes the application’s access too. It shares your Entiva usage limit with your assistant connections. Disconnect it in Entiva settings to stop access at once.

Your application receives the records it requests. Entiva does not send them to OpenAI or Anthropic through this connection.

Limits, and what stays with a person

  • Free account: 200 tool calls an hour. Entiva Lite: 10,000 an hour. Assistants and server applications on one account share the limit.
  • Long answers are cut short and say so; read_filing_passage reads a document in parts.
  • Ordering is not a tool. A person orders on Entiva: ₹149 for a company or ₹79 for an LLP, every year and every document category, up to 50 companies in one order.
  • Company search is not a tool. Look a company up free on entiva.in, or read its public page as Markdown, to find its CIN.
  • Original PDFs are downloaded on Entiva, not through the server, which reads their text, fields and tables.
